FDead Write

Dead Write is an introspective, psychological thriller about a successful Manhattan novelist, Jade Harper, with mild schizoaffective disorder and an estranged father, who holds her responsible for the death of his wife her mother, although it was an accident that happened when she was just little girl.

Triggered by the break-up of her marriage, at the age of 30 Jade returns to her small home town of Harmony, California under the guise that she is writing a book about the town history with her elementary school teacher, Mrs Copperfield, who was her only real friend growing up. Jade and the teacher both know that she is not actually there to write a book, but to face her father ten years after leaving home.

As she has created a reason for going home after so much time, Jade must follow through with researching the town history to write the book with her teacher. She dives into her work, but finds herself distracted by the history of her own family when she begins to uncover what had been reported in the local paper as a series of accidents. She comes to believe that these were not accidents at all, but a series of murders - her grandmother, her grandfather, and her mother... The question then becomes, is there a connection, or is it all in her head, brought on by her disease, the stress of facing her estranged father and the overactive imagination of a writer?

Jade has all the information, but no one believes her and because of her condition she begins to doubt herself... but if she\\\\'s right, she is the next in line to die.
