19 Months humorously captures a young couple who believe that romantic love has an expiration date.

In a mockumentary style of storytelling, rather than stay in a relationship past its due date, the camera follows how Rob and Melanie separate.

However, as to avoid the usual pain, jealousy, and loneliness accompanying a split, they agree to stay together until each has found a new companion. Because of their unfounded confidence in their unorthodox arrangement, they invite a documentary filmmaker to chronicle their \\\\'new and better way\\\\' for couples to break-up.

Unfortunately, what they discover about relationships is something entirely different.
