Under the lordship of his king, Asbrey of Westender was a heroic and fearless knight. Now, he is just a pale shadow of his former self living in poverty as a reckless drunk. On a debaucherous night of indulgence, he loses his most prized possession. Bruised and beaten, he awakes the next morning to find his wedding ring gone. Anxious to track down the cruel thieves, he pledges to hunt them down and retrieve his ring - a symbol of his fervent love.

On his quest, Asbrey\'s confidence and inner strength are on trial as danger, betrayal, doubt, and fear haunt him along the way.
