Indie filmmaker Greg Watkins directs this indie film about an disfunctional indie filmmaker who wants to direct indie films.

Quite often struggling artists live hand to mouth in San Francisco's new bohemia arty farty social circle (streotyping of artist i know, but is often the truth). Caveh, the fatalist is no doubt one of them, and Laura his girlfriend, the pragmatist, have very different approaches to life. Both characters clash badly and the only common thing they have, is their dress sense. Faced with professional failure, car crashes, stole bikes, imminent eviction, and the towing of his so - called in-laws car, Caveh remains determined to derive meaning from every disaster ('if we are centered, our income will come to us'). But Laura, possibly pregnant, is sick of his philosophizing and begins to question their future. Through a hilarious series of misadventures within a day (including Caveh's disastrous pitch meeting - 'it's kind of Romeo and Juliet, but the boy has cerebral palsy and the girl is retarded'. Now you know what he is a wannabe indie film maker.), the lovers begin to drift apart.
